Deepalaya Learning Centre Project, Sanjay Colony

Deepalaya Learning Center, in Sanjay Colony, aims to provide non-formal education and remedial education for the vulnerable. The project is operating with the assistance of individual donors and sponsors. The Centre’s doors have been opened to children and youth of all ages, not through formal schooling, but through different programmes. Children who come for non-formal and remedial courses tend to receive value education from the learning centre. Children are not only taught various approaches but are also exposed to Smart classes in the new Techno Savvy environment. The day at the center ends with the assembly where children are encouraged to read newspapers, share their thoughts and so on. The teachers use the platform to impart those principles, teach them about health and hygiene, good etiquette, importance of timeliness, etc. They are often taught through intentional learning by creative skills, games, sketches, cartoons etc. The training is filled with different practices.
